The research phase began with understanding the needs of both job seekers and employers in the digital space. Through interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis, we identified key pain points: job seekers struggled to find roles that matched their niche skills, while employers faced challenges in filtering through unqualified applicants.
We also studied platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed to identify gaps in the market. A key insight was the need for a platform that catered exclusively to digital professionals—designers, developers, marketers, and more. This research helped us define the core features: advanced filters, skill-based matching, and a seamless application process. By focusing on these insights, we ensured DigitalJob would stand out as a specialized, user-centric recruitment platform.
Designing for DigitalJob was all about creating a platform that felt intuitive and efficient for both job seekers and employers. We opted for a clean, modern layout with a focus on usability.
For Job Seekers: The homepage featured a prominent search bar with advanced filters (e.g., role, skills, location) to help users find relevant jobs quickly. A personalised dashboard showcased recommended roles, application status, and skill-building resources.
For Employers: A streamlined interface allowed employers to post jobs, review applications, and connect with candidates effortlessly. We incorporated visual elements like progress bars and status indicators to enhance clarity.
